David and Dwain have taught together for more than 12 years at the collegiate level. In that time, they have spent countless lunches discussing ways to help students with their struggles in centering clay. One day, back in 2006, the proverbial lightbulb went off and they sketched out the initial idea for the QuickCenter™. After successfully testing a rough prototype, they both knew they had a created a revolutionary tool for centering clay on the wheel.

Knowing that AMACO, who owns Brent® wheels, is the industry leader in educational support of ceramics, David and Dwain approached the company for help. Naturally, AMACO/Brent also saw the potential of the QuickCenter’s ability to enrich art education.
